God has given me one word, “Protocol”
The word Protocol is defined as a technical or established method for connecting, or a system of fixed rules and formal behaviour used for official meetings. It can also be a technical set of rules that are followed when doing a scientific experiment or giving someone medical treatment.
Can there be any meeting that is more 'official' than meeting with God? Do we have a system of fixed rules and formal behaviour, when meeting with our Saviour? It this trusted and tried method, written in stone, just can't get rid of it! This 'Protocol' of ours even has slight variations and we have fooled ourselves into thinking it works.
I saw two hands with a brick or stone being broken and crushed to dust between the hands. I have no doubt that God wants this 'Protocol' or method broken, crushed, done away with. 'Protocol' must be changed or abolished. When 'Protocol' is abolished, there will again be room for God. God wants you to make room for Him. He cannot fit into the little space you have given Him. He is a Great, |Big, Enormous God and His requirements are rather LARGE. You need to give him 'most' of the space and keep a 'little' for yourself.
Looking a little closer, one will observe that 'protocol', in most instances, becomes a form of control . All control should be given to the Holy Spirit. God is even prepared to abandon His 'Protocol' or usual way of doing things for you. After all, He did it for Joshua. He made the sun stand still! I bet Joshua never actually thought God would do that. He did it for Moses. He opened the way where there was no way. He opened the sea. Moses must have been beside himself, Israelites behind him, Egyptian army behind them and no way forward! Then the sea open before him. His hair must have stood up! One of his finest moments! I would give anything to have seen his face. Abraham and Sarah also had a change of 'Protocol' experience! Imagine, a child at their old age! God must have restored them.
Once again we see, that absolutely anything is possible with God. None of these characters from the bible were more favored than you and I. We all have areas that need a 'Protocol' experience. I challenge you, today, ask God for this change, believe Him for it!
