ANCHORED
I have been sitting with this word for a while now. The Lord showed me that for many the ship has come into shore and it has been Anchored. I saw a HUGE Anchor which is under water. It's almost like an iceberg, where the largest part is hidden under water. Anchors speak of strong connections. In this instance I see that the outward appearance is not even close to the real thing!
If you could see in the spiritual realm, you would see a very different picture of yourself, your situation, your ministry! The part that is available for all to see is minor compared to the 'giant' you are becoming. You have no idea how SIGNIFICANT what you are doing right now is! The results are far reaching. You may be going through a tremendous trial but the end results of this will be SIGNIFICANT for you and for those lives you are called to touch.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose
Anchors are also a picture of stability and a coming into purpose. They are used to stabilize and make sure you don't move, but remain in one place, the place you have been anchored. Anchors fix and secure you in place where you will not be blown around by every wind that comes your way! Anchors help protect you by holding you in place, during the worst storms. We must remember that regardless of our circumstances we are anchored in HIM!
Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,
ANCHOR – INDIVIDUAL
Anchor has a DOUBLE meaning. Individuals who are 'Anchors' bring the news from their source, in this instance it will be the Good News of the Gospel. We are all 'Anchors' and are all called to share when the Lord leads. Anchors are the LINK between their source and audience. As a messenger of Jesus, being a LINK is vital and can mean the difference between LIFE and DEATH to someone.
DO NOT FAINT!
Because our roots have gone down deep and we are anchored in the Living God we are able to hold on and often endure for long periods of time when we are waiting to see change in a person we are praying for. We must remember that God is committed to answering our prayer even though it may take several seasons before HE does. Do not let go of that soul! The salvation of some may be locked up in you!
Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
This is not the time to faint! The scripture clearly states that we will reap if we faint not. This means there is a possibility of not reaping if we faint. This is a possibility we cannot entertain! There can be no fainting after we have come this far! You must determine in your heart that you are not about to give up and enter HIS rest. You must not do this in your strength! There can be no fainting and no giving up because in Christ we already have the victory. It is just a matter of walking out the plan that has already been written for you (Isaiah 46:10). Remember God's plans for you are always good (Jeremiah 29:11).
Amazingly, the first kinds of anchors that were used were ROCKS. However, because many of these were impossible to move around, this practice was eventually discontinued. Because of persecution anchor symbols were used by early Christians as signs for safe houses, when they were traveling.
ANCHORED IN TRANSITION
You may be in a season of transition, where God is moving you into a place you do not feel sure or comfortable with. It may be an area of increase or the opposite, decrease. Whenever we go through a season where we have to let go we sometimes feel like we are losing but this not the truth. In both instances we are being enlarged and this will become clear in due season.
Sometimes the letting go is intended for us to become even more ANCHORED in HIM. God is always trying to get our full attention. If we find ourselves in increased stewardship we will be required to press deeper, until we find ourselves ANCHORED more deeply in HIM. Neither circumstances is about fear but about HIM drawing us deeper and ARISING in us in a more powerful way.
We don't always realize that the place we have been anchored is a place of safety and healing. The very same God who is an anchor for our soul is the Lover of our soul and HE restores our soul! As we allow HIM to do a complete work in us, we are able to impart the very same to those we cross paths with. So, let there be no struggle as we surrender ourselves to becoming more ANCHORED in the Living God.
Mark 6:53-56 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and ANCHORED there. As soon as they got out of the boat people recognized Jesus. They ran throughout that whole region and carried those who were ill on mats to wherever they heard he was. And wherever he went-into villages, towns or countryside-they placed those who were ill in the market-places. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
