Increasing Our Spiritual Awareness
Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
I have to see things and God speaks to me with pictures. So I see power lines which carry divine spiritual connections ( something we should pray for)
On these power lines is a cable car which you climb into and ride to the top of the mountain.
Once you get there everything looks different! Your perception changes. The view is no longer beautiful, it is OUTSTANDING! Your view is dependent on where you are situated. Location, Location, Location! You must remove yourself from your circumstances!
That's why it is so AMAZING spending time with the Lord, you can just leave everything behind!
The higher the place, the better your vision and the more, and further you will see! You must ascend to see more clearly!
I see the Power Lines carry many types of Connections, Divine Opportunities which we need to explore! We cannot explore what we cannot see!
WE NEED INSIGHT!
The first and most important connection is to Ascend to be with the Father.
When connecting with people you need to check them out spiritually - I see Carol Cross swinging, continuous standing on swing, smiling-then she SOMERSAULTS her swing over the top!
She remains standing without a hair out of place!
This speaks clearly of Authority, Stability, Strength and UNUSUAL Spiritual Movement. Like a Gymnast-Fit and always discovering a new move.
I also saw a Springboard-This launches things... So we know God is using Carol in this area.
David never connected intimately with Saul even though he was his son-in law.
He was also called to play the harp for Saul and when he did Demons fled! This is proof of greater Spiritual Authority. So we see some of what was going on with him spiritually. He was a good connection!
However, David connected with Jonathan, Saul's son. This was a divine connection. Jonathan told David that Saul wanted to kill him. What would have become of David if he had rejected Jonathan because he was Saul's son?
David may not have made it to the throne!
Ruth and Boaz were also a divine connection. God had handpicked Ruth to be the great grandmother of David! Jerusalem was full of young Jewish women but God shipped in Ruth, the moabitess from Moab.
Incidently, Ruth can be traced back to Moab, the product of incest and son of Lot and his daughter!
Lots Wife turned back because she was connected to her old life and could not let go! Look what happened to her!
Judas was a Tax Collecter. He held a very prominent position and is said to have been the most intelligent and well adjusted of all the disciples. However, it is obvious that his connection to money or was a lot stronger than even his connection to Jesus, since he sold him for 30 pieces of silver! This led to him to suicide!
David's son Absalom .... Was a prince and obviously had power and authority. It went to his head. He went into rebellion against his father, not agreeing with him and turning other's against him. He ended up being killed in the very place he had intended to ambush his father. Absalom was connected to power. Power and control meant more to him than his own father.
Connecting with the wrong things, situations, and focusing on and continually talking about issues, add fuel to the fire!
Call(speak) what you want to see, not what you don't want to see!
Like a plant that you nurture by watering, feeding, sunshine etc. So you make things live with what comes out of your mouth.
We are sometimes meant to connect just to have a conversation. These encounters always leave us and the other person with something, usually knowledge, wisdom or necessary information.
Connecting through a place of intimacy in conversations, sharing your heart. This happens a lot in the Workplace. Sometimes the wrong connections are made and they lead to much more!
Guard your heart
Proverbs 4:23 NIV
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

23-27 Keep vigilant watch over your heart;
that’s where life starts.
Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth;
avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip.
Keep your eyes straight ahead;
ignore all sideshow distractions.
Watch your step,
and the road will stretch out smooth before you.
Look neither right nor left;
leave evil in the dust.
Physically/Sexually involved. This is connecting with all that other person has connected with, and can devastate your life and hinder God's plans. You could be opening your soul to who knows what!!!
Connect with trauma that takes place in our lives. TRIGGERS-smells, words, places, that cause us to remember, relive.
These cripple us and hold us back. God wants to set us FREE.
If you are rejected, don't pick up demons of hurt and rejection. Don't let those demons in your life. Remember the word of the Lord to Samuel: "It is not you they have rejected, but Me they have rejected from reigning over them" (1 Sam. 8:7).
Don't connect with Rejection and Disappointment!
Connecting with Elders or role models who we identify with in some way. Especially those who have very strong characteristics. We often take these on and become like them, doing and saying the same things, "my mother said or taught me".
Many individuals are walking around like this, living as someone else and have not yet discovered who they are! Their parent is dead and buried but still controlling them from the grave! Then you go put this on your children.....You need to stop it!
The worst part is that we don't know until God reveals to us!
When individuals are set free from such bondage they often discover they don't actually like what they wear or eat! They find they have been living a lie and life becomes a new adventure discovering themselves!
Connecting with things. Anything you are spending too much time with may be bad for you. Balance is the key. What has captivated your mind?
My mind is my most wonderful and precious possession. I have to protect and look after it. It thinks, imagines, sees, hears. Think about how you would be without it. An empty Shell. It occupies you and depending on what you have put in, is what you will be occupied with. You need to PROTECT it! This is how you protect your soul!
Knowledge and realisation is a wonderful thing! You would never experience these without your mind being intact!
God's intention is that you always have a sound mind, free of fear and bondage!
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
REMEMBER it is your thoughts that fall into your mouth and are released when you speak. Take control of your thoughts!
Fear and anxiety!
It took me years to be free of FEAR. Now God often uses me to speak up for others!
He has called us to love and care for others but we need to do more by being SPIRIT led and not our emotions!
We need to be careful of entering territory that has not been designated for us. God did not call us to save, heal and deliver everyone! We have our own assignments and we need to find out what they are! We can make wrong emotional connections. There is a place for emotions but the wrong emotional connections can lead us astray.
Galatians 5:16
[ Walking in the Spirit ] I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
So we cannot feel bad about not saving all. Others territory! Get over it, you are not that important!
We do not have to connect with everyone. We also need to understand that some connections are TEMPORARY or seasonal and disconnect! Whether we like it or not! Let people go!
Connecting with individuals for the wrong reasons will damage us spiritually.
We should always be praying for more discernment.
I am constantly amazed at situations or people and how I never saw the truth about them before, or how long it took me to see what was really going on!
This only increases my awareness of the increased discernment we require.
Connecting with Spiritual ROOTS in the area.
One thing that I am looking at is that my grandparents have deep roots in the 'Sweetwaters' community and the Lord seems to bring me back here regardless of how many times I have tried to leave...
I am realising now that I am able to connect or tap into those foundations that have been previously laid and draw from that wisdom...
I keep seeing these roots and am beginning to realise that there is more Grace available to me.
What they did has direct impact on me today and I am calling this, claiming my heritage ...
Good Spiritual Foundations were laid in this area through my ancestors, for me, before I even knew it...
I am not connecting with 'Ancestors' but rather with Spiritual foundations that have been laid and are part of my inheritance...
I have been calling in all that has been stolen for ten generations, as my inheritance!
Unblocking the previously dug wells!
Since I know that I have all things in Christ, why would HE make me aware of the roots and foundations of my ancestors and the fact that they lived a good life where there was no lack, Prosperity, owning property etc.?
It can only be because this information is Vital and Valid...
God recognises generations! I was reading how he told Isaac to remain, not go to Egypt and how he would bless him and give him the land BECAUSE of what Abraham had done!
Genesis 26The Message (MSG)
26 There was a famine in the land, as bad as the famine during the time of Abraham. And Isaac went down to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
2-5 God appeared to him and said, “Don’t go down to Egypt; stay where I tell you. Stay here in this land and I’ll be with you and bless you. I’m giving you and your children all these lands, fulfilling the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. I’ll make your descendants as many as the stars in the sky and give them all these lands. All the nations of the Earth will get a blessing for themselves through your descendants. And why? Because Abraham obeyed my summons and kept my charge—my commands, my guidelines, my teachings.”
Genesis 26:12-15(Message)
Isaac planted crops in that land and took in a huge harvest. God blessed him. The man got richer and richer by the day until he was very wealthy. He accumulated flocks and herds and many, many servants, so much so that the
Philistines began to envy him.
How do we know who not to connect with? ONE WAY: "From the depths of his heart the mouth speaks"

When you feel that something is wrong, don't dismiss it. Be on your guard!
We speak from what we have connected with!
Test all things.
Have you seen the Whatsapp notice on
Psychology of Anger?
Professor asks students why people shout at each other when angry, even though they may be right next to one another?
ANSWER: Unconsciously, we know our hearts are distanced from each other through anger, so we shout!
This tells me we are are Spirit beings who know we are, even though we don't know! Shouting seems to be the flesh reacting to a distanced heart.
This makes me be cautious about shouting at someone, since this Purposely distances us.
God never shouts. His heart is always with us.
What would it mean if He did shout?
It would mean we have distanced our hearts!
If our hearts are distanced from GOD or those we love, we lose more of our Spiritual Awareness. We have to intentionally close the distance between our hearts, regardless of the behaviour of others.
By reacting to what others do, we allow them to change us. This must not happen. We must train ourselves to remain at a certain level. Self control is one of the fruits of the spirit.
It is like constantly taking a reading with a thermometer!
You have seen how a heartbeat is monitored. The beat must be regular. The minute it becomes irregular we die!
In the same way, we begin dying spiritually if our hearts are in the wrong place!
Connected to things, places, situations, circumstances and wrong relationships.
These cause us to become Distanced from God or those we love!
The world we live in increases our vulnerability, but God is always faithful to reveal...
And RESTORE
Let us become more spiritually aware so that we become Spiritual GIANTS!
How does a GIANT get to the top of the mountain? He STEPS UP!
James 4:8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you
Now You STEP UP to a higher level because you can!
