Last night our Father showed me that many Christian marriages appear
to be fine on the outside, like a nicely painted house, but are actually
in 'tatters' due to a sustained attack, enforced by the enemy. Many are
just cohabiting and going through the motions. Love has been lost.
This appeared to me as a white sheet hanging on a washing line in the backyard! This sheet was ripped and in tatters!
I saw Jesus touch the sheet and immediately it became whole, not even
a crease! The mighty wind of the Spirit began blowing powerfully in and
through it, lifting the sheet higher until it was no longer pegged but
widespread and floating in the atmosphere. All the edges were slightly
raised and the corners folded down again at the points like stands that
held it up.
HE showed me that although many marriages have become so difficult to
deal with and taken a backseat, HE would heal and restore them! They
would be cleansed, healed and restored. Boundary lines would also be put
in place for protection and then displayed for HIS glory!
We fight and argue so much about our needs hat we become blind and
immune to what our spouse is experiencing. If we could only distance
ourselves by going up, where objectivity can be restored, we would
recognize our partner is going through the exact same experience.
They also feel tired and worn out and may have given up. They have no
idea what to do. Worn out and giving up is the plan of the enemy and
where he wants to keep you. Its time that his plan be aborted in the
name of Jesus, and the plan of God be released!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 New International Version (NIV)11 For I know the
plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not
to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.12 Then you will
call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You
will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
God is asking us to once again trust, take HIS hand and partner with HIM in this plan!
Over time, we have formed habits, patterns and pathways that we
automatically go down, (like robots) think and perceive every time our
partner does something displeasing or they let us down, then out of our
mouth our perceptions come! Well we get what we speak!
This happens over and over, wearing each other out and immediately
closes the door to any real connection or conversation. Sadly, we have
become part of the sustained attack on our marriage.
God says he will restore all that has been stolen and HE wants to
redeem and restore the lost love of our marriages. Its not lost, it's
stolen!
We have to be INTENTIONAL about asking the Lord to show us how to
break those habits and patterns so that we are no longer part of the
problem. A habit that continues to harass you may be a familiar spirit,
even through the bloodline! You need to firmly deal with that thing and
become divorced from it!

the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in high places.
We must play our part and allow the Lord to redeem and restore our lost
love! We must forgive and leave what formerly happened in the past even
though it may be as close as yesterday!
The Creator of all things wants to teach us how to CREATE something
new after HIS pattern. Remember you are created in HIS image and
marriage is HIS idea!
