I'm sure many have read articles claiming that the parent eagle will
push the baby from the nest so that it may learn to fly. After doing
some research I found this to be completely untrue! This is not how
eagles learn to fly !
They practice standing and spreading their wings in the nest, slowly venturing out on a branch or rock as they become stronger. Watching an adult fly and copying all the moves -- taking off,
flapping, gliding, landing, and perching — helps the young birds get it
right. Without a safe place to learn and lessons in flight, an eagle
won't learn how to fly without the parent.
This morning the FATHER clearly showed me an eagle's nest filled with
baby eaglets. I have been waiting to know what it is HE wants us to
understand about this picture.
The first thing HE pointed out to me was that the eagle's nest is
ALWAYS situated in the 'highest place' it can find. Eagles never grovel
in the dirt, they instinctively know where to go. They will ascend
higher and higher, until they locate what they are looking for.
Eagles have the most powerful vision and they can spot their prey
from 300 feet in the air even though they may appear as a dot to you!
Their ability to see is related to several aspects, one of which is the
positioning and placement of their eyes. Eagles know where and how to
position themselves.
Because they seem so distant, they are often disregarded and only
recognized when they are suddenly found in possession of their prey, since they know where to look!
They have the ability to focus clearly and distinguish finer details
without a blur. They see colors and UV light. It is the POSITIONING
that enables their DEPTH of vision. Eagles will always shift their focus
to the Bigger Picture!
Eagles are 'consumed' with who and what they are and meant to be!
They never stop practicing, learning and teaching. This effort takes up
almost all their time and attention, besides eating. Eagles know they
have TO BE who they are.
They nest safely and don't venture out into foreign territory until
they are ready. Eagles watch and learn, quietly and quickly because
their instinct tells them there is a world waiting for them and they
know they were created to soar the highest of the heavens!
Eagles wait. They wait and wait and wait some more. They hover and
wait. They circle and wait. They soar and wait. They know what they are
waiting for although they have no words for it! They watch and wait.
Eagles know it will come and so they wait. They wait and wait some more.
They wait until it comes....Then they wait again...
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Lots of love and Blessings
Sharon
