Ever wonder what actually took
place in the tomb? Did the Father come and breathe life into Jesus as we saw
Elisha do with the widow's dead son? Whatever the events were, we are sure that
they required enormous power. Perhaps this was a moment where all the power of
God was summoned to bring about this resurrection.
Creation was probably more of a
walk in the park. Most significant is that such a powerful event was taking
place in the tomb, yet no one heard or saw a thing! The stone which had been
moved there and sealed had been rolled away. No-one noticed. This powerful
event took place quickly and quietly. By the time anyone noticed, it was all
over!
We often observe a person or a
situation, judging them or it, from the outside. We judge by what we see. In
most instances, if we don't like what we see, we behave negatively, even
speaking death over the person or situation. It seems we have completely
forgotten that God does not work on the outside but on the inside!
He works on the heart of man.
From the inside out. In a moment, changes have taken place. God has done His
work. By the time we begin to notice changes, the work has already been
completed. Often very quickly and quietly! The death of Jesus was a real death.
His body was wrapped in clean linen cloth or grave clothes. When he rose from
the dead, he left the linen or grave clothes behind.
Luke 24:12 Peter, however, got up
and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by
themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
Any situation or circumstance
which has died is able to be resurrected. Where there is only hopelessness,
there is can be hope. The marriage may be dead. No hope. No feelings. Whatever
the circumstances may be, with God there is always hope. When He is brought
into the situation all circumstances are subject to Him and therefore subject
to change.
Romans 8:11, And if the Spirit of
him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from
the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who
lives in you.
We are able to command whatever
is dead to life. This is attainable. Now God is in you. He lives in you. Stop
thinking that the solution to a situation is coming from somewhere out there!
In the situations you find yourself, you are the solution.
We never think of ourselves as
the solution and always try to escape. Have you forgotten who is in you? Do you
know who you are? If you don't then this is the time to find out. He is in you
and all is subject to Him and therefore subject to you. God and you are not two
separate entities. YOU ARE ONE. With His guidance, the Holy Spirit will guide
you in all things. God desires for you to be the solution. Negative
circumstances and situations can be left behind.
Proverbs 18:21, Death and Life
are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit. Good or
bad, that is up to you! You have been given all the dominion and power.
